Since I had a close encounter of the roach kind last night, let me tell you another cockroach story. Once upon a time I was asked to fix a computer for a friend of the family. She was a really nice lady so I agreed with no reservations.
I go over to their house and immediately am overwhelmed with the nastiness of their house. Now a lot of people complain that they or others live in a pig sty, well they don’t know how bad one can live until they are in a home like this.
There was garbage all over the place, piles of dirty clothes, piles of clean clothes and roaches crawling around all over the place. Note that is mid day and there were roaches crawling on the walls, the tables and on just about everything else in the house. Very disgusting!
Of course I wanted to leave right then and there, but couldn’t. I figured it wouldn’t kill me and I would bag up the computer real quick and be gone ever quicker. So I tell them I need to look at the computer more closely and that I would like to take it home.
They agree and give me a trash bag to put the computer into. I get that sucker bagged up and jet out of there ASAP. On the drive home I am praying the bag wouldn’t rip because I had no idea what crawled in there while I was bagging up the PC.
After 15 minutes I get home and park in the driveway. I spray half a can of raid into the bag and sealed it up for a few hours. After grabbing some lunch I come back and open up the bag, take out the computer, and look inside.
The computer had become a roach motel. The case of the computer was filled with roaches and there were even a few still living inside. I took the whole PC apart and cleaned every part. It was disgusting.
There was roach crap all over the place. The roaches had crawled through it and tracked it on every part inside the computer. This is one of the nastiest things I have ever seen. I took the case outside and washed out the case with the hose.
I will never do something like this for someone again. That was just too gross. It was like I was on Fear Factor or something.
